MILLBANK - If someone tells you an outrageous story in Millbank, chances are that the setting for that story is Adolf's Irish Pub.  Adolf Mc'O'Patrick has managed this local tavern and hangout for the last thirty-three years, and he can tell quite a few tales, some of them even fit for a family newspaper.

“There was the time that Lorne Pfeffernus let that duck loose in here. That thing crapped all over the floor and then tried to bite Darla (Finnian, waitress at Adolf’s). And certain people always get into fights, but they’re rarely worth worrying about. That duck was a better fighter than most of the guys around here.”

Fisticuffs aren’t the only expression of Millbank rivalries at Adolf’s. Heated competition is also on tap in Adolf’s own trivia and darts tournament, “Farts and Darts”. “Sometimes, I think it would be better to separate the two contests,” admits regular Gary Shanks. “I missed a question about the Battle of the Bulge , and suddenly my teammate Bartlett is chucking darts at my head,”

Adolf’s Irish Pub, located on the corner of Main Street and 7th Street, is open Tuesday-Sunday, from 5:00 pm – 2:00 am. Dollar drafts and pickled eggs are available weekdays until 6:30 pm. The proprietor kindly requests that the more unsavory characters visit the Out of Bounds instead.
